Changing Places
Colac's first Changing Places facility opened on 6 June 2024.
Colac's Changing Places facility is located within the Memorial Square toilet block in Gellibrand Street, Colac.
Features of our Changing Place include:
A ceiling hoist
Hoist Safe Working Load is 250kg.
Please refer to operating instructions inside the facility.
A change table
Change table safe working load is a maximum load of 227kg.
The height of the change table is adjustable for your convenience and safety.

Hoist
The hoist is compatible with any loop sling.
You will need to bring your own sling should you require the use of the hoist system. Only users and cares accustomed to hoisting should use the hoist.

Access
People with disability can access the Changing Places facilities using a Master Locksmiths Access Key (MLAK). The MLAK system allows people with disability to access a range of public facilities across Australia.

Project Funding
The new facilities were funded by the Federal Government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program, the Victorian Government’s Changing Places Program and Colac Otway Shire.
