Foreshore of Lake Colac at Meredith Park

Meredith Park comprises 6 hectares of Lake Colac shoreline, located 12 kilometres north of Colac. The park has a free campsite, including a picnic area, toilets and fireplaces. This site is also a popular fishing spot, where red fin and carp are commonly caught.

Meredith Park contains habitat for the endangered Corangamite Water Skink, and as such camping at the site is restricted to certain areas.

  • Meredith-Park-Cropped-Image.jpg Short term camping is permitted only within the Designated Camping Area.
  • Respect others by keeping noise to a minimum (no loud noise after 10pm)
  • Fires are only permitted in the designated fireplaces provided by Council.
  • A person is required to be in attendance at all times while the fire is alight and has the capacity and means to extinguish the fire.
  • Supply your own firewood - lopping or removing native vegetation is prohibited.
  • Do not dispose of rubbish and waste in fireplaces - use the bins provided.
  • No effluent is to be dumped from Caravans and Motorhomes at this facility.
  • The nearest dump point for Caravans and Motorhomes is located at Central Caravan Park (Bruce Street, Colac).
  • Campers and/or Park Users must vacate the area at the direction of authorised Council officers. Penalties Apply.
