Colac Airfield's NORTH-SOUTH runway is currently closed to the public.If you are flying into the airfield, please use the EAST-WEST runway. This closure is due to firefighting preparation.

This morning’s fire in Apollo Bay is a devastating blow for a community which had been showing incredibly positive signs of recovery following the pandemic lockdowns and tourism impacts of 2020.
Our thoughts are with the Apollo Bay community and particularly the businesses and staff directly affected by this fire.
Colac Otway Shire Council is urging anyone in the Apollo Bay community impacted by the devastating fire Apollo Bay to remember that you have a strong network of support: Council, Great Ocean Road Health, CFA, Police & SES, Apollo Bay Chamber of Commerce, community & sporting groups, your friends and neighbours.
The Apollo Bay and Colac Otway community has proven its strength and resilience before and will rally to support you.
Thank you to our emergency services and everyone else who has been involved in this morning’s incident and who face the massive clean-up operation ahead.
