Extra green waste collections for fire season preparation
To help you prepare your property ahead of fire season, Council's weekly kerbside collection of green waste will commence from Monday 21 October, continuing until 29 November.
The green waste skips located in Wye River and Kennett River will remain at these locations until 25 November 2024 to assist with fire season readiness.
- 1A The Boulevarde, Wye River (opposite the CFA shed)
- 15A Great Ocean Road, Kennett River (carpark area)
This year, a green waste skip will be located at Forrest between 2-15 December 2024.
Colac Otway Shire Council is continuing to support the clean-up of recent storm events with free green waste disposal at Transfer Stations and Drop-Off Facilities until 29 November.
A 6 x 4 trailer of non-commercial green waste can be taken to the Alvie, Apollo Bay and Birregurra waste transfer stations during business hours.
Free disposal of green waste from the storm clean up can be taken to the Beech Forest, Lavers Hill, Carlisle River and Gellibrand Drop-Off Facilities.
