2020-21 Draft Budget
Notice is hereby given that Colac Otway Shire Council has prepared the 2020-21 Draft Budget, with the community invited to make written submissions.
The Draft Budget has been prepared in accordance with the Local Government Act 1989 (the Act).

A copy of the 2020/21 Draft Budget is available for inspection at Council’s Customer Service Centres in Colac (2-6 Rae Street) or Apollo Bay (100 Great Ocean Road).
Submissions
Any person wishing to make a written submission pursuant to section 223 of the Act on the draft Budget must lodge a submission by 5pm on Monday 29 June 2020. Submissions should be addressed to the Chief Executive, Colac Otway Shire, PO Box 283, Colac VIC 3250. Submissions may also be submitted by email to inq@colacotway.vic.gov.au with the subject line being Budget Submission.
Any person making a written submission is entitled to state in the submission that they wish to be heard at a Special Committee Meeting scheduled for Wednesday 8 July 2020. In accordance with the Local Government Minister’s Good Practice Guideline on virtual meetings published in response to the Victorian Government’s Omnibus (Emergency Measures) Act 2020, Council will facilitate where technically possible virtual alternatives for attendance at this Special Committee Meeting. Where this is not possible, provision will be made for written statements to be read out at the meeting.
All written submissions lodged with the Council will become public documents which will be included in any public agenda addressing this item; as well, all written submissions will be made available for inspection by the public in accordance with the Act.
Council will meet to formally consider the Budget at the Ordinary Council meeting on Wednesday, 22 July 2020 at 4pm at COPACC.
