Help Shape Colac Otway's Future

Beechy-Trail-Banner.jpg

The Council Plan is our strategic blueprint, outlining the ambitious goals we aim to achieve during the current Council's term and mapping out the path to get there.

Every four years, we collaborate with the community to craft a fresh Council Plan, ensuring it reflects our shared vision.

We're now gearing up to develop the Council Plan 2025-2029, which will set the strategic direction and priorities for the Colac Otway Shire Council over the next four years.

We invite community members to join us in this exciting journey and help shape a true vision for our shire!

These are some of the ways you can get involved.

Survey

A community survey is now open on Council’s Have Your Say page and is expected to take about 15 minutes to complete.

Each eligible participant who completes the survey can opt to go into the draw to win one of ten $50 vouchers to a local business.

Complete the survey.

Submissions close at 11.59 pm on Wednesday 12 March 2025.

Community Panel

Be part of the discussion!

Colac Otway is recruiting community members from diverse cohorts across the shire to be part of a community panel across a series of three, 2-hour workshops to be held in Colac, Apollo Bay and Forrest.

Each workshop is designed to build on the discussion of the previous workshop in what’s known as a deliberative approach to community engagement, so it’s important that you can commit to all three workshops. Participants will be selected based on ensuring a diversity of representation across age range, gender and location to help ensure the Council Plan is developed with a mix of views and perspectives about what’s important to our shire.
